A fun, creative music and play group for parents/carers and their babies and toddlers run by All Saints in Church House on Thursday morning and afternoons and Friday mornings, an established and favourite community group for mums/carers.
Our music time is fun and lively with songs, rhymes, actions and movement, and incorporate a range of puppets and sensory props for babies and toddlers to explore. We use a wide selection of songs and rhymes, create new words to well known tunes and within some gently explore characteristics of God including his creativity and love.
What are the benefits?
Singing with babies and toddlers builds language and communication skills, and actions and they’ll learn balance, co-ordination, body awareness and rhythm, BUT best of all YOUR child will love this time of bonding and connection with YOU.
At Joining-the-Dots we want you and your child to enjoy both the music and free play which follows. We aim to provide the space and time for you to make connections with other adults whilst enjoying home made refreshments and hope that the Dots will be for you and your child a warm and nurturing experience.
What you say !
Friday morning is the highlight of my week with my little girl. Joining-the-Dots is somewhere you know you’ll get three things – great chat, great music and great cake!. It’s somewhere that Phoebe feels totally at home and has the freedom to be herself, whether that’s dancing in the middle of the room or sitting at the snack table too early! She loves the energy and variety in each session and the uique songs, some of which are so catchy they’ve become part of the family repertoire. For me, it’s a place where I know I’ll always get a warm welcome and people genuinely care how I am. It’s somewhere I can make new friends and catch up with old ones, and all of this accompanied by amazing cake! I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
