All Saints Ilkley invites you to tell us your story. Perhaps you were married at All Saints or celebrated some other important family event. We would like you to visit us during this special week and share your memories, recollections or any other information you think will help us paint this important picture. So why not have a cup of tea or coffee and take a trip down memory lane? There will be a place set aside in the church during the week where you can write down and share your story.
Tuesday – Saturday
11.00am – 4.30pm Tell your story and share your memories each day plus an exhibition telling the story of All Saints Ilkley as a community.
Tuesday 10th May
11.00am Opening by Cllr Brian Mann, chair of Ilkley Parish Council. Church bells will be rung.
11.15am – 12.15pm ‘All Saints Through the Years, talk by local historian Alex Cockshott.
2.00pm – 3.00pm ‘Bringing the Light to Life’, a talk on the church stained glass windows.
Wednesday 11th May
7.30pm – 8.30pm a special evening talk by Alex Cockshott about the church bells while they are being rung.
Thursday 12th May
Afternoon: Special Places – a visit by All Saints Primary School.
Friday 13th May
2.00pm – 3.00pm Talk by Alex Cockshott on “All Saints through the Years” focussing on the time of Rev. John Snowdon.
Saturday 14th May
11.00am – 12noon ‘All Saints Church Organ – Our Heritage’, listen to the church organ being played and hear a talk on the history of the organ by Steve Harwood and the Rev Dick Watson.
2.00pm – 3.00pm a walk and talk by John Cockshott who will be revealing the secrets of Ilkley’s Roman fort. Start in church.
