Around the world millions of Christians have to meet in secret. They would love to worship in freedom and to share the good news of Jesus with those around them, but to do so means violence, imprisonment or even death. And so they keep hidden.
As a part of the week of prayer for Christian Unity Secret Church met on Sunday 22 January. The meeting was held at the ATC meeting room on Ashlands Road. 50 people packed in to the space, we were welcomed by Noah Mitchell from Christchurch. As well as musical worship and prayers lead by Release, the meeting heard moving stories of how dangerous it is to be a Christian in Iran and about the real life Secret Church meetings of a group of refugees who now worship at St Pauls, Manningham
